In this Godox kit, you get a variety of different flash modifiers that you can use to create unique lighting effects. Each modifier uses magnets to attach directly onto the flash head. This new feature totally removes the need for velcro strap or sticky tape. As a bonus, a carry case is included to fit all of the Godox AK-R1 accessories.

How to use the Godox AK-R1 Modifier Kit
The Godox AK-R1 Magnetic Modifier Kit can be used directly on the following devices. Each of these devices features an embedded magnetic ring that firmly holds onto each AK-R1 modifier. The Godox S-R1 Flash Attachment is compatible with most speedlights and the Godox AD200's fresnel head.
AK-R1 modifiers simply snap onto the flash head. Modifiers can be stacked as well
Test Results
The following examples show how each of the AK-R1 modifiers shapes a light source. In this experiment, a Godox V850-II and an S-R1 Flash Adapter were used in conjunction with the Godox AK-R1 Kit. The flash was positioned to about two meters away from a grey wall. The flash zoom was set to 50mm.

A grid is used to concentrate the beam of light to create a spotlight effect.Typically used as a backdrop, hair or rim light. Can also be used to highlight or isolate small areas in your images. |
Bare Flash vs. Dome Diffuser |
The omnidirectional dome diffuser is designed to evenly distribute the light source in a near 180º angle. When aimed upwards, the dome-shape modifier will spread and bounce light off walls and the ceiling to create a full and softer light within the room. When aimed directly at the subject, the dome diffuser will reduce the "hot spot" effect to create a more natural-looking quality of light. |

The wide-angle diffuser plate is designed to create a slightly wider angle of light with a softer fall-off. The diffuser plate is also used to reduce the hot spot effect to create a more natural-looking and softer quality of light. |

When bouncing light off a wall or ceiling, the Bounce Card (with the white side positioned to the light) can be used to reflect some fill-in light directly at your subject. |
Bare Flash vs. 1/4 CTO (Colour Temperature Orange) Gel |
Converts the colour temperature to 4,900ºK. Colour correcting gels are used to balance the colour of the flash with the colour of the ambient light. |

Converts the colour temperature to 4,500ºK. Colour correcting gels are used to balance the colour of the flash with the colour of the ambient light. |

Did you know you can create your own gels for the Godox AK-R1? You can cut out circular shapes from flash gels and sandwich them the two Clear Filters that are included in the kit.
